SYNTHESIS OF THE OBSERVATION FIELD JOURNALS

  The purpose is to observe how a teacher starts his class and more with elementary school children, using different types of didactic methodologies, identifying the learning of each of his students, evaluating them with questions and using tools. Participating in this class as the main purpose is to fall more in love with my career and see that in the future as a teacher a series of procedures is carried out for a learning and a well-developed class.

 The participating community, ages, special and observed characteristics and the context of the I.E. and / or La Normal Superior ethnic community is located at Carrera 6 # 16-300 Icononzo - Tolima. They are a study house based on permanent training, continuous research, argued debate and argued production and written production, of citizens and integral educators committed to the human, social and cultural development of the country.

On March 22, 2022, an initial meeting was held in the afternoon with teacher Gloria Gutiérrez, from the Silvania Educational Institution, who collaborated with me for the microclass, which we began by introducing ourselves. Then the tutor Gloria instructed us how we would do our class by assigning me as homework to do some English activities for the fourth grade children.

In the development of the practice and identified the fundamental skills for the preparation of a class, adding the activities depending on the degree of knowledge that each grade has, how each student can react when solving and learning the subject.

 

When I started preparing the class, the teacher gave me the topic (Describing people), first we started with the explanation and vocabulary to know the words and pronunciation. Organizing my ideas to make the activity look didactic by explaining the topic better. Being fourth graders, the activity is done in part Spanish - English. Using very few texts in English at the request of the teacher.

 

This preparation of the class consists of learning the most used vocabularies to describe the characteristics of people. The fundamental skills for the preparation of a class, adding the activities depending on the degree of knowledge that each student has, were carried out in the class, as main, the theory, which would be the vocabulary, and then pronounce each of them and get to practice with activities describing your favorite person.

As we had to finish the class at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, we finally practiced with a very didactic online game, with striking illustrations. We also specified the wording of each numbering in Spanish.


Analyzing the behavior of the students and because this is new for them, conducting a virtual class, was somewhat disturbing, because the connection was very bad, the students have not received an English class in English, so the teacher recommended me to do it in Spanish and partly in English.

 

This knowledge of class preparation has been favorable and profitable for the professional life as a teacher, since through them it is possible to persuade, teach and level students who need reinforcement.


COURSE DESCRIPTION

With approximately 17 students, it is a public institution, and I am in the process with children of fourth grade, the teacher of the institution is called Gloria Inés Gutiérrez Fula. The characteristic of the school environment is located in the Vereda Tres Silvania, its infrastructure in state: OLD-ACTIVE. It has only one access, for entrance and exit.
